We are half way through the school year, and there have been so many successes at SCMS! I have been enjoying spending time with the students, getting to know them more, and seeing their smiling faces every day. Since we are now in the second half of the year (where did the time go?!?!), we really need to make sure we aren’t getting spring fever but are instead putting forth all of our efforts. PSSAs will be here before we know it, and in order for all students to do their best, we need to really work together to master those standards!
Our SCMS family is not only focusing on our learning, but also on ways to improve our social experiences. All students are now equipped with a chart to help them through social situations and discern if adult assistance is needed. We have also educated the students on the importance of reporting bullying as soon as it happens with details of the incident so we can address it immediately.
As always, I appreciate your involvement in your child’s education. Please feel free to call with any questions or concerns. You may also reach out to your child’s teachers at any time during the year to have a conference. If you haven’t done so yet, please see below on how to communicate via Twitter and Remind. Here’s to a successful third marking period!
